This is a year of private group texts between alcoholics/addicts who didn’t know they were writing a book
Reflections Between The Lines
Our Story:
This book began as a simple habit.
Each morning for one year, a small group of friends read a short piece of Alcoholics Anonymous literature (Daily Reflections) and sent one another a brief text message reflecting on what it stirred in them. No editing. No polishing. Just honest reactions written in the language they naturally used with one another.
Over time, those messages became a quiet record of daily life—struggle, gratitude, loss, humor, faith, doubt, growth, and the slow work of staying sober. Some days are hopeful. Some days are heavy. Some are raw, short, and unfinished. All of them are real.
This book is not affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous, nor is it intended to explain or teach the program. The reflections are personal and informal, shaped by individual experience rather than instruction or advice. They are shared here exactly as they were lived: imperfect, unfiltered, and grounded in everyday reality.
Readers will find no step work, no prescriptions, and no conclusions—only a year’s worth of honest moments captured in real time. This is a book for anyone who values lived experience, daily practice, and the quiet power of showing up one day at a time.
